This application page allows you to gather specific information about your campers parents/guardians.

Parent Information

  1. Parent Information Header Message: (Optional) Utilize these messages to give your parents additional information as you see necessary. Box 1 appears at the top of the page.

  2. Parent Information Section Message: Box 2 appears above the section where parents input their info.

  3. Allow parents to change their name: Checking this box gives parents the option to update their name anytime they enter the application (Marriages, divorces, etc.).

πŸ’‘ Tip: Many camps choose not to allow this. In the case that lists are already in print this is information you would want parents to call you to change manually so you don't miss it.

  4. Family Home Phone and fax: Home phone is displayed by default, and you can choose to make it required or not. We recommend leaving the fax boxes unchecked.

  5. Summer Address and Phone: For families that live away from their permanent address for part/all of the summer, you'll want to enable these fields. We do not recommend making 'summer phone' a requirement.

  6. Parent Work, cell, other Phone: All of these fields display as options by default. Only check the boxes if you are requiring them on applications.

  7. Parent Marital Status and Occupation: If you wish to know the parent's marital status (or require they give it to you), you can select the option here. Generally, its recommended you capture this info, as it will make working with relationships in Campminder easier.

  8. Parent Social Media: (boxes 13-20) If you want to be able to connect with your parents on social media, collecting this info will be helpful.

  9. Emergency Contacts: it is strongly recommended you collect emergency contact information. Check the 'is required' box to make it necessary to continue the application. Enter any instructions on who you constitute as an emergency contact in the text box.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Consult with your local and state laws regarding camp emergency contact info.

  10. Household 1: Campminder requires you collect info for one parent. A second parent (e.g. spouse) or a second household (e.g. step-parents) can be added as options by default, or hidden, and the parent will have to click a link to add these fields.

For campers who have two households (divorce, etc.), you can decide if you want the second household to receive mail from the camp.

Additionally, you can decide if they should receive invoices from camp. This is useful if the grandparent is paying and the parent has input them as the 'Household 2' family.

Note: only members of the Primary Childhood Household will have access to make payments online, regardless of who gets invoices. This is an important consideration, if a camper has a two-household family and they both intend to pay a portion of the camp bill.

  11. Promo Codes: If you've set up promo codes under Admin > financial> (Season) > Discounts, you can choose to enable or disable them here. If needed, add a header message to explaining their purpose.

Additional Options

While 'Additional Options' have their own, independent forms, you have the option to add them to the Camper Application. Additional options straddle the line between session and line item, because they have qualities of both.

  1. Set Additional Options to Display on the Camper Application: Navigate to Admin > Financial Admin and select the 'Additional Options' tab under the current season.

  2. Navigate to Admin > CampInTouch > Camper Application Settings and scroll down to the Additional Options section.

  3. As with other sections on the camper app, you can include a Page Header message as well as a section header message. By checking the Show on Additional Options Form box, you have the ability to copy these same messages over to your standalone additional options form.

  4. Check the Additional Options Expand/Collapse to collapse the options like an accordion. This option is useful if you have a long list of options to present to parents.
