The online inquiry form gathers prospective camper details on your website, directing this data to your Campminder database as "Leads." It enables parents to request more camp information or a personal discussion before deciding to apply, even after browsing your site.

Create and Enable the Online Inquiry Form

We recommend keeping the form simple; a complicated inquiry form may lead users to abandon it, intending to return later but ultimately not doing so.

  1. Navigate to Admin > CampInTouch > Inquiry Form Settings.

  2. To enable the form, select the Enable Inquiry Form check box.

  3. In the general section, you can set up who receives notifications and set up any analytics tracking you wish.

  4. To choose a heading for your inquiry form, enter the text in the box at number 1 under Form Heading. If you do not want a heading, leave the box blank. Suggested text: "Request Information."

  5. You may add an optional message under the heading in the box labeled Optional Message at number 2.

Suggested text: "Please fill out all required fields. Thank you for your inquiry."

  6. Under Mailing Address, check the box next to one of the options. Your choices are:

    • Full Mailing Address

    • Country and Zip Code

    • Zip Code Only

  7. Under the third choice is a check box for Required. Check this box if you wish to make your choice a required field. But remember: less info is easier for parents. You can always get it later.

  8. Under About You (Parent/Guardian), decide what fields to include along with first name, last name, and email address. These are all required fields.

  9. To show Relationship field, check the box next to Number 1 (parent, grandparent, etc). To make that field required, check the box marked Required.

  10. To show Phone field, check the box next to Number 2. To make that field required, check the box marked Required.

  11. Select your preferred contact method(s), with options for Email, Mail, or Telephone (which includes preferred call time). If none are chosen, this question won't appear on the form.

  12. If you want to allow parents to add a parent or guardian who lives at another address, check the box next to Number 4 to show Family 2 field.

  13. To enable a section that will ask parents about their camper, check the "Enable About Your Camper Section" box under About Your Child.

  14. Choose which of these fields to include in the section. Note: choosing too many will make your form very long and could intimidate prospects. Keep it short.

    • Email

    • Gender

    • Birth Date

    • School

    • Grade

    • Describe Your Child

    • Your Child's Interests

    • Previous Experience at Camp

    • Season of Interest

  15. Birth Date, School, and Grade may be made into required fields.

  16. Choose to include a Lead Source field by checking the box Show Field under the question "How did you hear about us?"

Note: Lead Sources can be edited/added by navigating to Admin > Camper Setup > Lead Sources

  17. You may make this field required by checking the Required box.

  18. You may add an Additional Comments field if you wish by checking the Show Field box under Additional Comments. Any comments entered here will be stored under notes.

  19. You may enable the CampBot Bulletin by checking that box and adding any person(s) to recieve bulletins.

  20. This automatically sends notifications to your bulletin board when an inquiry form is received. Additional Comments from the field above are now included in this bulletin as well. Those bulletins look like this:

  21. Choose a post-submission redirect for visitors: a specific URL (typically your camp website) or a Thank You page, where you can customize the heading and body text.

  22. Check the final box to enable an email confirmation of this inquiry form. Fill in the email subject and body.

  23. Click the green Save Changes button.

  24. Once you've set it all up, you'll want to grab the form link from CampInTouch > Setup > Links so you can add it to your website.

Note: Its very important you use the Copy button to the right to grab the user-specific link for your website. Do not copy and paste the purple link directly.
