Timing is crucial for managing applications.
Avoid opening your app too early if it's not ready, as eager applicants may rush in. Similarly, close your app promptly when you stop accepting new applications.
The Camper Application icon’s visibility in CampInTouch is set in Season Settings, while the Include [Season Year] checkbox in Camper Application Settings controls availability for each season. Both must be aligned for families to see and access the application.
Enable Camper Application (make visible)
It’s important to align form visibility and seasonal availability to keep your Camper Application running smoothly for both families and staff.
Navigate to CampInTouch > Forms > Camper Application Settings. Select a season from the dropdown.
💡Tip: If you have multiple seasons open, select the correct one from the dropdown and review the settings for each open season.
Example: At the top of the page, check the status. Here, the 2025 camper app appears on the My Account page, while the 2024 season is active for applicants logging into CampInTouch.
Click the blue 'Edit' link to make changes.
Edit Settings:
Include season "__" in Application: If unchecked, the application won’t be visible for that season. If you have multiple seasons open, check this box for each one.
Allow registrations from new accounts: If unchecked, only existing records (including leads) can apply. Use this if you want returning families to access the app early, then re-check it when opening to everyone.
Show application icon on the "My Account" page: If unchecked, families won’t see the icon in CampInTouch but can still apply using the direct camper app link.
Date field: Controls when the application goes live. Use a past date to make it live immediately, or set a future date/time to open it automatically.
Note: this date and time picker works in Greenwich Mean Time, NOT your local time.
Disable the Camper Application
Navigate to CampInTouch > Forms > Camper Application Settings. Select the season to disable from the dropdown.
Click the blue 'Edit' link to make changes.
To disable your camper app, uncheck all four of the seasonal application settings boxes. Click "Save", then "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
Click the green "Save" button. To confirm all changes, click the green "Save Changes" button on the bottom right.
Once changes are confirmed, your camper application settings page should look like this:
